Teach biotechnology without expensive technology in your classroom. Using simple and effective “low-tech” methods, students extract DNA from fruit and examine some of DNA’s physical properties. Specially prepared cell lysis and DNA precipitation solutions allows students to easily extract and collect DNA.

Fruit not included in kit. (Frozen strawberries recommended.)
