The Newton’s cradle is a device that demonstrates conservation of momentum and energy. Pull back one or more of the balls and let them drop down. The same number of balls will swing up on the opposite side and will go back and forth until it stops. Solid steel balls are approximately 0.75″ (19mm) in diameter each.
