Synthesis of Rayon Demonstration Kit

Description

Demonstrate polymer chemistry. Newsprint is dissolved in a solution of ammonium hydroxide and cupric sulfate. The solution is then added to a sulfuric acid solution and dark strands are formed.

Kit Includes:
1 x 125mL Copper Sulfate, 25% Solution
1 x 175mL Ammonium Hydroxide, Concentrate
1 x 200mL Sulfuric Acid, 0.5M Solution
